End of 15 Weeks

This morning while we were laying in bed, I thought I could feel him/her moving around inside me. Then, later in the day, there was definate movement!! It was so exciting!! I cannot wait for down the road when Will can feel the baby from the outside with his hand on my belly. I wish he could feel what I feel now when I feel the baby. My friends that told me it felt kinda like gas were right, though it is strangly different. It is a feeling that is hard to explain, but I love it!!

boy?

Hi everyone! It's Becca. I just want to let everyone know that as of now, I am convinced we are having a baby boy. Of course, I don't know for sure, but I did have a very vivid dream the other night of the delivery and the doctor held up the baby and shouted, "It's a boy!". Since we are not finding out the sex of the baby, we won't know if I am right until December. But if I am right, I just want all of you to know that I knew at 14 1/2 weeks. Women's instinct. If I am wrong, well, sometimes a dream is just a dream with no meaning!

great friends

It was a slow night at work yesterday, and given the fact I work in a hospital, an ultrasound machine happened to be sitting in the closet on our floor. My friend said she had never used one, but it couldn't be that hard, so we gave it a try. We found the baby!!! In this picture, you can see the head and part of the body. We also have a picture of the little feet, like they are pressed against a window. It is the cutest thing ever!!! Every time I would laugh, the baby would move all around! It's little arm was waving at me, like it was saying "Hi mom!". We have an official ultrasound at the doctor's office on Tuesday (June 24), which I am sure we will get a clearer picture, but for now, it was sooooo nice to see the baby!

14 weeks

Well, it is the end of week 14 and my belly seems to be growing! I hear everyone say when you "pop" it is almost instant. I have noticed quite a difference between week 13 and week 14. I used to have a little belly down low, but it seems to be moving further up my abdomen and my abs are slowly loosing their nice shape. I love being pregnant. I have been lucky and have not been sick. Just tired, but even that is getting better. I am still craving tart fruits, like...granny smith apples, lemons, green grapes, cherries, etc. And also cereal. Especially when it has been hot out, I love a big bowl of shredded wheat or corn flakes with ice cold milk and fresh fruit cut up in it. We had an OB appointment this past Monday and were able to hear the baby's hearbeat. It was the most AMAZING thing I have ever heard!!! Our next ultrasound is June 24, so hopefully we can update you with a new picture of our little one!

Amazing Time

We had the most amazing time on our honeymoon in Italy! Becca has become an "expert wine smeller", while Will then confirms with taste. We brought back 7 bottles of wine to save for after the birth, when Becca can have some. We walked between 5 and 10 miles a day, ate amazing food, and finished off the trip with a bike tour of Tuscany (Florence and Chianti). A few of the people on the bike tour were surprised when they found out halfway through that Becca was expecting! She kept right up with the group, except for when her bike chain fell off and she had to stop to fix it.

Becca still has a craving for lemons, which Will now has as well. Sympathy cravings, I do beleive it would be called! Funny, that there was a lemon tree right outside our bed and breakfast in Chianti! Her cravings have now expanded to fruit in general, especially fresh cherries, peaches, and apricots (especially tart ones). The more sour/tart the fruit, the better! And here's a funny thing...Becca never really cared for milk, but now wants a couple glasses a day.

Here is the belly at the end of week 12.
